[UH]
no subject
it just means i haven't
[wait]
how do you know i haven't?
<traitreadieux>
you're a priest of the fourth
one whose name and location has been public enough since the obelisk fell
are you that surprised to have eyes on you
no subject
but no i'm not dead. i've just been working. nothing odd about that
<traitreadieux>
but locking yourself in for days at a time to work on something sounds o

[On second thought.]
i'll retract that
suppose that's pretty normal for an engineer
[No it's not Stocke what kind of ridiculous workaholic engineers do you even know]
no subject
and before you ask i'm not working on another robot to destroy another beloved monument to the fog god
<traitreadieux>
[............]
i wouldn't object if you were
no subject

i suppose it's well enough that you don't wish to take the chance
with your god's track record
but i'm surprised he doesn't have his objections

just because he likes to be called the fourth god doesn't mean i think he is one
<traitreadieux>
you follow all the same
<teslacoils>
[Yes it is. It absolutely is, or at least it was when he first joined. It became something else quickly enough, but at the base of it has always been the feeling of security that comes from feeling like there's an extra layer between him and the Fog God.]
i joined him because i thought i could help people. because if we're goin to have any chance of makin any progress against the fog god we need someone who can actually get at her and no one can but him.
<traitreadieux>

don't think you're right
said yourself the first time you fought her it wasn't his idea
and i've seen
[...no, nevermind. It wouldn't be wise to continue. And he got what he wanted, which was to satisfy his curiosity about "literally when was the last time this snake - slithered scales outside his door, is he even alive in there or did some other monster eat him or what"]
you're not dead
fine
<teslacoils>
but no i'm not dead. thank you for the concern
